Mulberry

A boldly coloured army that referenced everything from fairgrounds to refracted light, Tim Walker photographs, carousel horses and Sofia Coppola’s films…sweetly girly, without bordering on cutesy, the look was finished with every girls favourite eighties nightmare- the voluminous crimp.

Designer Emma Hill, now in her third season at Mulberry, referenced old-school British wit and charm- oh-so-proper but dreamy watercolours, florals and landscapes. The clothes were deliciously girlie-eccentric, with bow and rose details, and the orange tiger-print patent heels gave the perfect edge. Leather jackets- pure Mulberry classics- are reinterpreted in buttery shades of peach and pink, the perfect complement to the latest range of ‘it’ bags, forever destined to remain out of my price range.
